Clean hydrogen can be used as a fuel to power fuel cells or hydrogen combustion engines in a wide range of heavy-duty transportation applications. For applications requiring a large amount of energy, clean hydrogen is the key alternative to diesel or other fossil feedstocks because of its light weight and quick refuelling times.
Currently, mining, rail, marine and road transportation applications have several OEMs offering and developing hydrogen fuel cell and combustion engine solutions.
