Daniel Mateos
Director of Business Development and Sales, Europe
Daniel Mateos is responsible for business development and sales at Hydrogen Optimized in Europe. In this role he generates sales opportunities for the company’s RuggedCell™ high-power clean hydrogen production systems and cultivates customer relationships in the European market. With over 20 years of international experience in clean energy and green hydrogen technology and engineering, as well as industrial gases, Daniel’s capabilities are directly applicable to his work at Hydrogen Optimized. As a specialist in business development, sales and project implementation, he has contributed significantly to the development of new business opportunities and products in the chemical and oil and gas industries.
Previously, Daniel has worked at a major industrial gas company in Europe in a variety of management roles, leading business development for green hydrogen and clean energy projects. He also worked at German and Spanish companies involved in the development and engineering of plants for the oil, gas and chemical industries. He holds several patents in these fields.
Daniel earned a degree in Engineering (Dipl. Ing.) from UPM Madrid in Spain, and a Specialization in Master Senior Process and Chemical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
