Edward Stuart
Chief Technology Officer
Edward Stuart is a Co-Founder of Hydrogen Optimized and leads technology development and commercialization at the company. He is a listed inventor on many of the company’s patents. Beyond his principal technology focus, Edward is active in many aspects of the business including manufacturing and supply chain, customer discovery, project development and government relations.
He is the fourth-generation Stuart family member to continue the family’s legacy in green hydrogen and deuterium oxide production technologies, and plays an active role in the development and commercialization of technology used in their co-production. Edward has served as a director on the board of the Canadian Hydrogen Association since 2021, and is a founding director of Hydrogen Ontario. Both inside and outside these industry associations, he plays an active advocacy role with federal and provincial government officials in support of Hydrogen Optimized and Canada’s green hydrogen industry.
Edward studied Chemical Engineering at Dalhousie University, where he served as President of the Dalhousie Diploma of Engineering Society.
